Leed & Sustainable Design

The U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has established the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standard to evaluate and rate “green” buildings. Projects earn LEED credits for satisfying requirements in five categories: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials and resources, and indoor air quality. Each category is evaluated and rated and determines the building’s final LEED rating: certified, silver, gold, or platinum. Lead certified buildings typically improve productivity, lower energy costs, increase lease rates and lease velocity and increase the property’s market value.
